- (8/20) SUPERSCAPE IS RELEASED! What's more, the major elements I had planned for the site update are now complete and implemented smoothly! Everyone, thanks so much for hanging with me and waiting while all this was sorted out. Hopefully the wait will have been worth it. Download Superscape from the Spotlight column on the right or the all-new navbar on the left. While you're at it, check out all the new navigation options (along with a drastically improved Music download system)! If you guys find any glitches or dead links, please tell me so I can fix it ASAP. Other than that, ENJOY THE MUSIC! Send any and all comments or questions you might have.
- (8/14) Flaking out on people, especially any visitors here, really wasn't what I had in mind - but there are several good reasons (which I won't go into too much detail about) why I was unable to meet my August 1st deadline, including a crisis in which my laptop (with the master audio) decided to shatter its intricate plastic innards had to be repaired! All that said, it's now back in my possession and is in perfect shape, so I'm back in business. Superscape WILL be released this week, with a complete album art package and maybe a bonus track or two! What's more, several updates google is making to the page creator (in updating it to Google Sites) will allow me to drastically improve my concepts for the site upgrade and speed it along. The album art is looking fantastic, so rest assured it will be worth the wait. Things are looking up! Just bear with me for one final week.
- (7/7) The music of Superscape is COMPLETE. Over the last week I've made the difficult decision to leave the album at 11 tracks instead of 12 - but though it may be a track short it's still over 10 minutes longer than Antechamber, so you're definitely not getting short-changed. The album art is being worked on (by one Greg Western) and everything's running smoothly. I'll be sure it's out this month (and the earlier the better). I've gotten some extremely positive response from some early listeners, and I hope you all will enjoy it as much.
- (6/29) We're at the end of June and unfortunately Superscape still isn't finished - but I thought I'd stick my head out of the ground long enough to say that the eleventh song is finished and after some revamp work on the title track and the completion of the twelfth, the music will finally be done. The production of album artwork will come after that (which I insist upon having before the album is released - sorry) and I hope to have it all completed during this month! So that's my unofficial release date. I'll make lots of announcements, so I'll see you then!
- (5/8) A minor progress update - I now have ten tracks completed, the most recent being Superscape itself - the title track and explosive closer for the album. It starts out slow and somewhat reminiscent of my old track Spirit Walk before breaking into some good old-fashioned drum and bass. Probably my best effort in that genre. In other news, I've gotten ahold of the very excellent (and very free) synth VST "Helix", which I'm enjoying immensely, and I'm now partway through an eleventh track called Boxcar (which uses Helix for several instruments). I've also retooled a large drum solo in Lightfighter to make it sound groovier and more natural (as well as remastered part of Hothead). More as it happens!
